Manage, mentor, develop and grow an existing team of dynamic Air Quality professionals, including junior to senior engineers, scientists and technologists
Work closely with the Calgary and Burnaby office a part of a regional team in AB & BC
Responsible for business development and marketing, with the aim to grow the diversity and productivity of the Edmonton group in the following areas:
Stack testing
Ambient Air Monitoring Business(Airsheds)
Greenhouse gas management solutions, such as inventory and regulatory reporting support, verification and audit services, evaluate emission reduction options
Permitting and other regulatory services in Alberta and/or other jurisdictions
Air quality assessment including Dispersion Modeling
Managing Projects to ensure technical quality and financial performance
Prepare proposals, SOQ’s etc., individually and within a team environment. The team might consist of other environmental investigation professionals, or professionals from other business units, including infrastructure, mining, geotechnical or materials divisions
Marketing this team to a variety of resource related markets and western Canada based projects
Continue to promote AMEC’s best in class work, life and cultural fundamentals
Provide peer review and mentoring of junior staff to ensure quality and cost-effective support on air issues
Knowledge/Experience:
B.Sc : Meteorology, Environmental Engineering or other Air Quality related education
10+ years experience in office / field with leading teams of specialized technologists and scientists
Demonstrated experience in one or more of the technical areas
Understanding of air quality regulatory framework
Air Quality Modeling experience or exposure is considered a strong asset
Excellent organizational, computer and writing skills
Positive attitude and proven ability to manage and mentor in a team atmosphere
