(Fixed term or secondment opportunity to 30 June 2009) Vacancy 1141 Proposed start date – 12 January 2009 The Sustainable Households Project team, part of the Deputy Chief Executive’s Group, is seeking an Adviser to join the team in our Wellington head office until 30 June 2009 either on a fixed term or secondment basis. We’re an enthusiastic and motivated team working on a high-profile and fast-paced sustainability project. Are you keen to join us? Our team is responsible for implementing the Household Sustainability Programme. The programme aims to reduce the impact of the household sector on our environment, and raise awareness of the simple, practical steps that householders can take towards environmental sustainability. The Sustainable Households Project team works fluidly across engagement, policy and information and awareness work streams, therefore you will be willing to work flexibly across a variety of project types. You will build relationships and work in partnership with other Government and non-government organisations on common projects. You will also play an active role in the maintenance and ongoing development of the sustainability website (www.sustainability.govt.nz). Some project management and central government experience would be beneficial, along with an ability to develop sound working relationships with a range of people and organisations. You will also be at ease with dealing directly with members of the public.
