Position Title of Supervisor: Office Manager Hours: Full time Salary: $50,000 plus superannuation
NCC is seeking a reliable, proactive and self motivated administrator with a ‘can do’ attitude to provide operations support to the organisation.
The position is full time, and is located at the NCC’s offices in Newtown.
The Administration Officer will work closely with a team of administration and fundraising volunteers, a Philanthropy Manager and an Office Manager.
The Administration Officer plays a critical role in ensuring the efficient administration of Nature Conservation Council of NSW. The duties are diverse, and will include the following key responsibilities:
- general reception duties - phone, mail and email
- fundraising and database administration: process and receipt donations and maintain database records
- maintain office space and shared resources
- support and advise staff on IT and administrative issues as required
- document administrative procedures and policies
- coordinate and supervise a team of operations volunteers, including recruitment where required
- filing, document preparation, calendar management and other administrative duties as required
- assist with basic server administration
- assist with finance administration including petty cash, banking and invoice payments
- assist with the coordination of staff meetings and other NCC events
- assist with the recruitment and induction of staff
SELECTION CRITERIA Applicants must have a legal right to work in Australia. Applicants must address both the essential and desirable selection criteria in their application:
Essential
- Experience working in a busy office handling a variety of tasks simultaneously
- Demonstrated ability to complete multiple administrative tasks in an efficient and timely manner
- Excellent time management skills, including the ability to discern priorities, plan ahead and coordinate with others to complete tasks
- Intermediate IT skills, including experience with databases, email administration, office networks and IT troubleshooting
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team and autonomously
- Experience training, coordinating and supervising volunteers
- Strong work ethic, including maturity and reliability in delivery of work
Desirable
- Experience with donations processing and donor care
- Experience with or understanding of finance administration processes
- Experience with recruitment and interview processes
- Advanced IT skills, including database management and network administration
