Description

The Environment Trust is an established conservation charity for the natural and built environments, aiming to inspire love of local places.  Active Environment is an engaging programme of environmentally related activities that aims to enrich the lives of people with disabilities. We work with a range of care organisations and individuals with disabilities to organise walks and other events, supporting around seventy people each year.

The Active Environment team is seeking enthusiastic, inspiring individuals to join our fantastic team of event leaders. We are currently offering part-time consultancy roles as needed for around 8 hours per month at an hourly rate of £12 - £15.

With the support of the Active Environment Project Co-ordinator our leaders prepare walking routes in relaxing or exciting areas, ensuring that they are suitable for all of our participants. They bring fact sheets and information to share with walkers about the local nature, culture and history of the areas we walk in to make sure all participants' interests are engaged.

You will have the opportunity to explore the local area and beyond, including access to our favourite spots such as Kew Gardens, Hampton Court, the Wetland Centre and many more.

This post will require enhanced DBS check for working with vulnerable adults.

Closing date 12 midday, 5 May 2017
