The Non-Timber Forest Products –Exchange Programme for South and Southeast Asia (NTFP-EP) is a collaborative, regionalnetwork of grassroots NGOs and peoples’ organizations that seeks to build the capacity of forest-based communities in the sustainable management of forests,
especially in the conservation and trade of non-timber forest products. NTFP-EP implements programs in 6 Asian countries and maintains headquarters in Manila, Philippines. For more information please check our website www.ntfp.org.

The NTFP-EP invites applicationsfrom qualified candidates for the position of 

Communications and Knowledge Management Officer (CKMO) for REDD+

The said staff will be involved in the 3 year project entitled:

“Developing community carbon pools for Reduced Emissions from Deforestation and Forest Degradation, plus enhancing forest carbon stocks (REDD+)  projects in selected ASEAN countries”

The project will be implemented in Indonesia (West Kalimantan), Cambodia (Cardamom Mountains), Philippines (Sierra Madre), Vietnam (Hoang Lien  Mountains).

Reports to:  NTFP-EP Deputy Director

Coordinates with: National Policy Adviser, Programme Manager on Community Forestry and Climate Change, Cambodia Facilitator, Philippine NTFP-TF Coordinator, Indonesia Facilitator, ASFN Civil Society Liaison, NTFP-EP Knowledge Management Officer

Location: Phnom Penh, Cambodia

Job Description

1.       Creating visibility of the project per donor requirements

2.       Maintaining a project website and distributing and uploading reports and policy briefs on e-networks

3.       Facilitating pressbriefings and engaging media to visit and report on pilot projects

4.      Distilling lessons learned and preparing and disseminating  training materials, policy briefs and reports  and other knowledgeproducts          

5.       Assisting in organizing and preparing for regional policy dialogues and regional technical workshops
