Join our team of adult Year-Round Volunteers educating and inspiring visitors and promoting wildlife conservation!

Deadline for applications is Friday, September 14, 2012.

Volunteer opportunities are flexible and allow participants to use and develop their education and communication expertise in a fun, social setting.
  • Weekday Volunteers assist with our student workshops, leading curriculum-based tours on the Zoo site.
  • Weekend Volunteers assist at special events and operate educational areas on the Zoo site.
Requirements & Perks:
  • Flexible commitment of 2 to 4 shifts per month for 2 years.
  • Training is provided.
  • Volunteers do not have any direct contact with the Zoo’s plants or animals.
  • Zoo Volunteers receive free admission for themselves and a guest as well as free Zoomobile rides and a discount at the Zoo shop.
Please be advised that training dates for the 2012-2013 weekend and weekday classes are:
  • Weekend Volunteer training program is on the following Saturdays: October 6, October 20, October 27, November 3, November 10, November 17, November 24 and December 1
  • Weekday Volunteer training program is on the following Fridays: November 2, November 9, November 16, November 23, November 30, December 7, (2013) January 11, January 18, January 25 and February 1.
